Many individuals have seen and heard the many commercials about tea and its various cures and benefits. Along with weight loss, cancer fighting, and other mobile benefits curing Headaches and Migraines while reducing stress is one of the very best advertised. But when I see these ads, I think Why?
Chá de Ervas
After drinking tea for some time, including Chá Verde, Oolong Tea, Rooibos, Capim-limão, and a broad listing of herbal herbal combinations, I have discovered that I don’t know if I’m fighting cancer within my body. But I do know that tea may help me to balance out a stressful time, and help eliminate and prevent headaches.
Simply drinking tea, particularly some of the herbal mixtures especially mixed for the event, can help with headaches, and you’ll receive the other benefits from the authentic tea itself. But just drinking the tea itself will not permit you to fully maximize all of the possible, particularly in relation to headaches and migraines. Because not always, but sometimes, drinking tea is all about Drinking Tea.
All day long
Cup after cup. I drink without a feeling of conventional practice, or spiritual afterthought. I just drink it. But when I have a headache (from stress, sinus headache, caffeine, or a number of other reasons), just drinking tea is not always best. That’s when my heritage comes out.
I don’t use exceptional pots, or time honored traditions. There’s nothing wrong with them, but I seldom have time for this, there are no time honored tea drinking customs. I used tea bags (low quality since they were my only option, and did not know any better).So today, though I’m closer to convention, I do not have time for this. My Headache/Stress tea drinking clinic requires less than five minutes. Usually, that is all of the time I have (which is largely why I have the headache in the first place).
I start with the double room gourmet tea bag. High quality loose tea, simple to use tea bag, reusable; three reason why. I rough it a bit to make the tea inside spread out, and then I place the bag in my mug. With the tea bag prepared I pour hot hot water . A little bit too hot to drink. When the cup is full, I bob the tea bag in and out of the water for a minute or so, and allow it website for a moment (maybe, depending on how strong I need the tea, how often have I used the tea bag already, etc.) When letting the tea bag sit, I wrap the chain around the mug handle and anchoring it with the bead at the end. After the tea is ready, I take the tea bag from the cup, and then hang it in my tea rack. With green teas and Oolong teas, this is particularly important. If you leave the tea bag in the cup too long it can become very bitter.
Now that my tea is prepared ( a process which took maybe two minutes) I am prepared to relieve myself from this nagging headache. With the cup steaming, I cup my hands around the mug and slowly breath in the steam. Slow, deep breathes. I do this three to five times, or until the tea has cooled down a bit so I can start drinking it. It’s still hot, but I won’t burn my lips or tongue if I drink it. Then I take little slurping sips. The warm water is important not just for the steam but also for these first couple of sips. The hot water melts down your drinking, and also helps to clear out your mind. After a few minutes of this I am generally feeling better.
Maybe this 5 minute practice is loosely based on heritage, and does not sound too complex, but it helps me. I am positive that all in this hectic world can appreciate 5 minutes where life is slowed down and notably a tradition that’s fast, simple, and that really helps to get relieve life’s little inconveniences; headaches, migraines, and stress.
