Every year-end, prognostications about the future proliferate. Forecasts and forebodings are provided to support any point of view, most of it feeding to the fear of the unknown.
At one time or another every one of us has thought about what’s anticipating around the corner or a couple of years later on, and how it will affect us. But if we are going to live joyfully in the present moment, we have to recognize that the future isn’t yet created; it’s an illusion beyond our grasp. In the process of fretting over expected outcomes, we really lose the chances of the present moment.
In fact, there’s absolutely no need to be worried about what’s waiting for us around the corner or a couple of years later on because we’re sustained by the Presence of the Divine at this time. The choices we make now are really the only choices that matter, for in the world of Spirit there is only the Eternal Now. And thus the very sustenance of the moment is available to us each present moment, during Eternity.
Advanced spiritual teachers have always taught the folly of fretting over the future. To find freedom from fear, it’s of crucial importance to realize that we’re not victims of space and time. The Course in Miracles teaches that we are unlimited spiritual beings, subject only to what we hold in your mind. In other words, whatever we think in, becomes our fate! The very belief in the outcome we all hold in your mind, sets up a strong attractor field. This field brings resonating results and contributes to the development of everything is held in your mind, whether we concentrated on it from fear or out of religion.
As we give up the belief that the future is fraught with risk, the end of the world is looming, or that we are powerless over the fate of our souls, the manifestation of those outcomes are also averted. Instead, we can opt to adopt the belief that we live in a perfect, harmonious, loving world!
Perception becomes reality. That means we could live in an ideal world by releasing all feelings or beliefs to the contrary. As we let go of the limiting beliefs about our planet, we can move into the higher spiritual consciousness that embraces all with peace, prosperity, harmony, and appropriate actions.
Around the planet, a huge section of the populace is currently moving into this greater frequency and residing there. Their collective action of keeping in mind that a world derives from perfection to perfection, is gradually transforming the dense energies of the physical world to align with this greater spiritual vision.
Spiritual consciousness teaches us that it’s God’s will for us to dwell in perfect peace with overflowing joy and happiness. If we truly believe this, it then follows that all things good, true, and beautiful have already been given to us including the reply to each question and the source for every demand we could possibly ever have. When we live in this consciousness of having what we need in this current moment, we have the ability to also see everybody in this world as having the benefit of Divine provision now.
In the third-dimensional density of life in the world, individuals often get divided or split to the illusion of duality: our language clearly provides this hint in the word in-divid-dual. However, the real basis of our source is Spirit rather than the physical ego. The essence of Spirit is indivisible, always One, constantly connected to All. I am a part of you, you’re a part of me, and we are forever part of this One.
This is why we should never see each other as bad, ill, unfulfilled, fearful, or burdened with guilt. As I see and behold you, I see myself too. When I see you through the worldly eyes of ego as a person less than ideal, I call forth into manifestation what isn’t desirable for either of us separately.
Yet when I look at you through the eyes of soul or love, I see you as perfection always unfolding, moment by moment. And by seeing the perfection inherent all, I bring that into reality. This is how miracles happen: when someone focuses on the perfection under the illusion of disorder, that eternal truth dispels all illusion and becomes their visible reality.
Our truth is God, and we are spiritual beings that exist as aspects of the Divinity. Divine prosperity created us rich; heavenly perfection created us in an eternal state of well-being; heavenly love created us loving and loved; divine power created us as utterly victorious in every action of life.
It’s the denial of the truth that ensnares us into the snare of lack and worthlessness. There isn’t any requirement for us to sink into the quagmire of fear and lack! Knowledge of our sacred Self gets rid of the illusion of need, for the perfection of Self is the very principle of fulfillment.
Whatever we focus on within, we become. Remember that joy and sadness can’t exist simultaneously. When we choose one, the other can’t be. When we choose joy, we depart sadness behind.
