Vitamin A in food concept. Plate in the shape of the letter A with sliced fresh carrots on wooden background. Flat lay or top view.

I was in poor physical and mental health for a couple of years. I was always on prescriptions and void of any genuine vitality, yet now I’m grateful to be in near perfect health. My own healing has shown me that true wellness is available for everybody, providing certain principles are implemented and maintained in order to allow the body to heal and thrive.

Toxic compounds

Along with protecting bacteria and viruses, our bodies are constantly fielding immuno-toxic compounds from the environment we live in. Air pollution, electromagnetic waves, untested or dangerous substances used in manufacturing household products, pesticides, petrochemicals, toxic ingredients in vaccines etc are processed through our bodies.

When the overall toxic load of an individual increases, it’s only natural that there could be a weakening of the immune system. Besides psychological, physical & psychological stress, the human body wasn’t designed to handle the excessive quantities of environmental pollution we’re currently facing.

This is why I am so enthusiastic about helping to make a greener world. Being “green” means caring for our body, mind, soul, our home, the environment and each other. Striving to live in a means that’s as co-creative as you can. It’s the reverse of destructive.

Healthy lifestyle

It’s so important that we do it to protect our immune systems and embrace a healthy LIFESTYLE – diet. The fantastic thing is that our immune system actually is THE healing power from within. Treat it well and reap the benefits of good health.

Simple tips

Cut out sugar

It’s public enemy number one. I associate sugar with disease and degeneration, which takes away my urge to indulge. Association is strong – either in weakness or in strength.

Avoid trans fats

Linked to cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, there is no wonder that it impairs the immune system. Margarine, packaged food, fried foods, baked products.

Beta corotene

(Vitamin A). Think concerning color. Eat fruits and veggies that are yellow and orange. Eat RAW wherever possible, as cooking destroys the enzymes. Sweet potatoes, pumpkin, peaches, papaya, cantaloupe, apricots, peppers, carrots, squash, yams. YUM!

Vitamin C

I’m a big believer in vitamin C. I consume a vast array of fruits & veggies and when I begin to feel run down I take extra in a nutritional supplement. You’ll find vitamin C in broccoli, kiwi, strawberries, papaya, lemons, oranges, spinach, chard, kale, parsley etc.

Selenium

Cook with garlic and onions as these are vital for enhancing the immune system and are anti-inflammatories.

Apple Cider Vinegar

If you haven’t discovered the benefits of apple cider vinegar I encourage you to try it. Not only is it excellent for the hair and skin, it helps the liver process toxins and will enhance your energy. 1-3 tbs in a glass of water per day.

Multi vitamin/mineral

I was a purist, until I felt that the difference a high quality supplement makes. It will cover you when you too as you would like. B vitamins are especially beneficial in helping the body cope with stress.

Be Positive

The body doesn’t know the difference between a picture in the mind and the real thing and so we literally create what we consider most. As a FORMER pessimist, I know what a difference a fantastic mindset has had on my health. Be committed to creating an optimistic outlook.

Remember

Your number one defense against any disease is your immune system. Your health depends on your immune system. It’s not determined by external forces waiting to lure another victim as traditional germ theory may suggest.
